VERTICAL TRANSMISSION
The work reflects on the construction of a synthetic life form representing the processing and communication process. The composition is based on a computer system that uses mathematical functions, also called algorithms, to generate image elements. Since the use of digital technology offers the possibility of infinite data reproduction in various combinations, the graphic animation evolves in the form of controlled randomness and pixel art aesthetics that fully embrace the light architecture with its low definition and limited number of colours.
The system is based on the principle that the opposing primary graphic colour elements, when they come into contact, enter into altercation and reproduce themselves with movements and behaviours predefined by variables. Over a period of two minutes, the graphic elements gradually propagate, forming a succession of constantly evolving patterns until they reach an increasingly complex minimal visual composition.
